台灣的造景常以「植物」作為符碼,整整齊齊的兩排植栽,在大道兩邊,模仿西方的羅馬列柱形式。從礦物的「石」到植物的「木」,「無機的」對上「有機的」、「冷冰冰」對上「活生生」、「不變的」對上「成長的」,這種殊途同歸的融合性,藝術家在《巷弄。糖光》採用「甘蔗」作為主視覺,同樣取其列柱感,隱喻著文化群體本身的包容度。「連成巷」是鹽水以「糖」的甜味曾經風光的一段歷史記憶,《巷弄。糖光》讓巷弄成為列柱大道,講著甜甜時代的故事。
Taiwan's landscaping often uses "plants" as symbols, with neat rows of plants on both sides of the avenue, mimicking the Western Roman column style. From mineral "stone" to plant "wood," "inorganic" versus "organic," "cold" versus "living," "unchanging" versus "growing"—this fusion of different paths leading to the same goal. In "Sugar Light Alleys. " the artist uses "sugar cane" as the main visual, adopting its columnar feel, which metaphorically represents the cultural group's inherent tolerance. "Liancheng Alley" is a historical memory of Yanshui's former glory, sweetened by "sugar." "Sugar Light Alleys. " transforms the alleys into avenues of pillars, telling the story of a sweet era.
