《懷舊膨脹》是一件互動式雕塑，以充氣的偉人雕像為主體，站立於一個台式賽博龐克風格的平台上。平台結合霓虹燈光與科技元素，象徵台灣科技業的發展，前端則呈現蔣中正紀念堂的造型，反映威權時期的象徵。當觀眾鼓掌，雕像會隨之膨脹，表達出懷舊情感的力量——越多人懷念，威權象徵越強大；無人懷念時，雕像則乾癟無力。此作品諷刺了對威權時代的浪漫懷舊，指出對過去的錯誤憧憬忽略了當時的壓迫與不公。
"Inflated Nostalgia" is an interactive sculpture featuring an inflatable statue of a great figure standing on a platform with a Taiwan-style cyberpunk design, integrating neon lights and futuristic elements to symbolize Taiwan’s tech industry. The platform front mirrors the design of the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, symbolizing the authoritarian era. As audiences applaud, the statue inflates, symbolizing the power of nostalgia—the more people remember the past, the stronger the authoritarian symbol becomes; without nostalgia, it deflates. This piece satirizes the romanticization of authoritarian times, highlighting how nostalgia can overlook the oppression and injustice of that era.
